Beach Front Vacation Homes: Affording The Dream
Malibu. Carmel. Miami. Maui. St. Kitt’s. Cornwall. The Hamptons. Phang Nga. Whale Beach. All of them conjure images of long, lazy, warm summer afternoons freshened by ocean breezes and soothed by the sound of gentle breaking surf, or of nights when the summer moon’s reflection dancing on the surface of the ocean forms a silvery path beckoning its viewers to magical realms.
For many people a vacation home which is not a beach front vacation home is simply another house. Being able to waken each morning to the sound of the surf; to have an early morning walk along the sand or to go exploring among the rocks; to smell the salt air and feel the cool breezes tempering even the hottest days of July and August; and to have nighttime campfires and marshmallow roasts on the beach are, for them, so synonymous with summer that spending it in a beach front vacation home is simply a necessity.
But owning a beachfront home is not an option for most of the people who live for their summers at the beach. For them, having access to beach front vacation homes will have to be accomplished by other means. And those who do own beach front vacation homes but have obligations which require them to live elsewhere during much of the year can benefit by making their beach front vacation homes available.
Renting Beach Front Vacation Homes
If you’re someone who heads to the beach each summer but have reached the point where you don’t want to move from motel room to motel room, you can consider arranging to rent one of the beach front vacation homes available in you favorite seaside location. You’ll probably have to find rentals through realtors in that area, and commit to a specific block of time for occupying the beach front vacation home. You’ll also, very probably, have to provide references, and pay a security deposit in addition to your rent.
The advantages to renting a beach front vacation home, however, is that you’ll have all comforts of home, can save money by cooking your own meals, and as long as you are considerate of the property, will not have to worry about paying for repairs if something goes wrong.
Put Your Beach Front Vacation Home Up For Rent
If you’re lucky enough to be able to afford your own beach front home, you can make it at least partially pay for itself by renting it as a beach front vacation home during the times when you’ll have to be elsewhere. You can set aside your favorite time of year for your exclusive use, but the rest of the time make it available for renters. You can pick and choose among renters to minimize the chance of getting some who will damage the property, and a stiff security deposit will discourage any careless behavior from your renters.
A beach front vacation home, whether you own it or merely rent it for a couple of weeks each year, can be the perfect escape!
